Why should I rent from Desert Vacation Rentals?
Nothing can ruin a vacation stay like renting a home that is less than you expected. At DVR, we like to say we “rent great homes to great people.” We carefully select the homes and homeowners we work with. We will gladly help you select the home that will work best with you so you can fully enjoy your desert vacation. If an issue comes up, you have a question or you just want to make the most of your stay in the desert, we are in the area and ready to help with our premier concierge service.
Why do some of your homes require a minimum stay of 30 days?
Many of our homes are in comfortable and safe gate-guarded communities that have Homeowner’s Association restrictions on what they call short-term rentals and require a minimum rental of 30 days.
Other homes do not have these restrictions and can be rented by the day, week or month. Any rentals for less than 30 days require an additional tax to be paid to the city.
What is the process for renting a home?
Use our search tool on this website and put in the dates of your stay. This will alert us and we will provide a price quote and other details via email.
Or, simply call or email us, tell us what you’re looking forward and we will be happy to provide home and pricing options.
In addition to the rental fee, what other expenses and fees can I expect?
Are pets allowed?
Some homes allow pets with an additional pet deposit. Check the details of the listing or contact us and we can direct you to pet friendly homes.
Do your homes have pools and spas?
Most homes have both pools and spas, but check the property listing for all the details and amenities of each home.
What are the seasonal rates of desert homes?
There are three distinct seasons in the desert: high season, mid season and low season.
High season is January to May –highest rates
Mid season is October to December - 2nd highest rates
Low season is June to September - lowest rates

Your Arrival Made Seamless
Our Concierge service guarantees a perfect arrival by coordinating your arrival process at your vacation home. We make everything stress-free with the check-in and checkout process. You are educated to all the ins and outs of your vacation home, given important contact numbers and local information. You can arrange for any special activities, reservations and special needs at this time.
If you are new to the Palm Springs Valley, we will help you with any diner reservations and/or dining experience you are looking for. If you already have a favorite restaurant or are looking for a new dinning pleasure - we are happy to make reservations or recommendations for you.
Early Check-in / Late Check-out
Simply put – if you need an early check-in or a late checkout – just let us know and it is done.
Once again – if you need us to do your first grocery shopping to stock your vacation home upon your arrival – just let us know and we will take care of it for you before you ever step foot in Paradise.
This is easy – if you want to schedule housekeeping/cleaning…just let us know and it is taken care of.
